Generation Marine Biotechnology (USA) Inc was established in California in June of 2017 to represent and distribute liquid kelp seaweed fertilizer made by its mother company Shidai Marine Biotechnology whose 32,000 square feet manufacturing facility houses more than 300 proprietary and custom-made (80% are proprietary) machines in Rongcheng, Shandong Province in the northeast side of China. This also serves as the company’s main headquarters.
Shidai Marine Biotechnology (founded in August 2010) just started as a manufacturer of edible seaweeds used in making popular dishes and soups then expanded and established to process seaweed as fertilizers. It uses Laminaria japonica species which is not only nutrient-rich but is also practiced in highly sustainable marine farming. The once edible seaweed manufacturer has then grown and the company has now focused on making liquid seaweed fertilizers. More importantly, it kept its high standard manufacturing systems and practices at “food grade level” so you can be sure your seaweed fertilizers are very safe to use in your farms and in your food.
